I found the letter to the editor written by Marie Standeven to be very interesting. She questioned the ethics of Mr. Glenn McKay a fellow watchdog member. Mr. McKay purchased that property at an auction sale over six years ago. He had an agreement of sale with Kohls Department store but Kohls sold the agreement to Home Depot. Contrary to other comments Mr. McKay was not on the planning commission regarding rezoning the property.

Marie Standeven is an ELECTED township auditor. As our township auditor she should be watchdogging our elected officals. Her fellow auditor chairman Harold Schultz accepted a partime TOWNSHIP job for $16,000.00 and use of a township vehicle. According to the township code this is major violation for an auditor. You can't be a township employee and an auditor at the same time. The code states the auditor must return the $16,000.00 back to the township's general fund. Supervisor Chairman Anderson admitted this was a violation. Marie Standeven never DEMANDED Mr. Schultz to RETURN the taxpayers money back. The township auditor duty is to protect the taxpayers monies. This is the standard I EXPECT of our elected auditors.

Write to Marie Standeven at 815 Triumphe Way, Warrington, Pa. 18976 and tell her to make Mr. Schultz return the $16,000.00 back to the township. You can't reach her by phone because her phone is unlisted. Elected public officials should NEVER have unlisted phone numbers.
