September 30th I voted for a zoning change to a 24 acre property (from RA-rural agricultural to R1C-residential)which was owned by Morrisey. The property abutts the Bullock/Cutler Tract. Morrisey claimed their tract of land should have been zoned R1C along with the Bullock/Cutler land deal compromise. They said if the township didn't zone their property R1C it would be spot zoning. Morrisey would take the township to court. I voted for the zoning changed based on the spot zoning issue.

The intent of the compromise with Cutler & Bullock was to eliminate the Junkyard district completely. The R1C zone was created ONLY for the Bullock & Cutler deal. This special zoning district allowed Bullock to sell his junkyard and his land for a nice profit.

They tricked me. I discovered Cutler purchased the property from Morrisey on October 9,2002 zoned RA. The zoning change was done on September 30, 2003 for R1C zoning. Three hundred and fifty six days (356) after Cutler purchased it. This zoning change wasn't for Morissey it was for Cutler.

Cutler had to show a hardship to change the zoning. He purchased the property zoned RA and should develop it as RA. There is no hardship for Cutler. Why would the supervisors change the zoning? Why was Wayne Bullock silent? Why did Jerry Anderson and my fellow board members mislead me? WHY DO I HAVE TO POINT THIS OUT? Who's on first? This really smells bad!

Mr. Anderson stated in a letter mailed to the voters as quoted per his letter, "I proposed a road, paid for by the developer, that would connect from 611 near the quarry to Bristol Road. This road will reduce traffic on Turk Road where new development is planned and will help the ingress and egress to Barness Park".

This road will benefit Cutler's development. Cutler paid Morrisey $2,434,200.00. Why would you pay that price before the zoning change? September 30th Mr. Anderson, when prompted by a citizen's question, asked the audience if any one is representing Morrisey or Cutler for the zoning change. No one answered. One must have been pretty confident of the vote.
