I received by mail a campaign letter authored by Supervisor John Paul and Appointed Supervisor (not elected by the people) Lee Fein. The letter pointed out the community coordinators who were supporting them as candidates. Fred Achenbach is the Water & Sewer Department Manager, salary paid by the taxpayers. Bill Reid is a township building inspector also paid with your tax dollars. Frank Gonzer a Commercial Real Estate Broker was recommended and recently appointed by the Appointed Supervisor Lee Fein to the Warrington Planning Commission. Joe Cummings, Doug Skinner, Elliot Kolodny and Jonathan Marks are all members of the Warrington Planning Commision. That is 3/4 of the planning commission. The planning commission recommends to the supervisors approval of developers plans and request for zoning changes. This is your Warrington government.
Speaking about zoning I was under the impression the Zoning Board is separate from the supervisors. The Zoning Board is required by state law to file a Statemnt of Finanical Interest, because of the voting and decision making the board does. They can override the supervisors zoning decisions. I was surprised to see Jeffrey Gallen, Zoning Board Chairman, as a community coordinator.
I wasn't surprised at all seeing Supervisor Becky Kiefer as a supporter. If you read the township minutes on this website, Becky never voted against John Paul and Lee Fein for developers plans and zoning changes.
Their letter states I have no record of service to Warrington. I have served on The Warrington Park & Rec Board, Warrington Youth Aid Victim Assist Board and a founding board member of The Warrington Soccer Club. The club authorized me to create and develope The Warrington S Soccer Travel Spring Division. I served many years in the soccer club and many years as Warrington District #1 Republican Committeeman. This is community service.
Their letter says I will resort to negative campaining. I just want to tell the truth and not play with words as politicans tend to do in their favor while they campaign.
Some of you reading this article may not understand my reference to the campaign letter because they only sent it to registered republican voters.
