I Will Not Allow Abuse of Taxpayers Dollars for Election Campaigns.
By Supervisor Carol Butterworth

I just reviewed a copy of the Township Newsletter today. I was shocked to see Supervisor Chairman John Paul on the front page of our township newsletter in a suit. He was promoting bricks for the Township Memorial being sold by the Warrington Rotary Club.
My concern is John Paul using taxpayers dollars promoting himself before his election. I talk from experience being the fact I worked for State Rep. Benj. H. Wilson-R144, who died in office, as his District Administrator. No legislator was allowed to release a newsletter (60) prior to his election as an office perk. The newsletter went to the printers today. I questioned staff why the delay? I was imformed the newsletter couldn't go to the printers, because it was waiting for the picture.
It also tells of all the park improvements updates. Mr. Paul is the liaison for the Park & Rec. Board. For the record Supervisor John Paul didn't solely improve the parks himself, past and present boards of supervisors had to authorize these improvements. The taxpayers of Warrington paid for the improvements. I must give credit to him for operating the machinery for his employer to accomplish some of the improvements.
Will this newsletter reach the voters before the election day? Maybe not. If it does. I will personally draft a bill to Supervisor Chairman John Paul for the cost of the newsletter mailing.
